| wow it just took me 5 minutes to remember/figure out how to update xanga. anyway, we had quite the busy summer! in june, we finally added a long-awaited member to our little family...
this is callaway (yes like the golf clubs)...callie for short! she's an australian shepherd, born in a litter of 8 (i think) on april 22nd. she was only 6 weeks old when we picked her up from a breeder. she was so tiny then!
and here's a more recent picture of her after her ears decided they wanted to stay perked up all the time:
and here's our smarty-pants puppy with her proud parents :)

| this is our new home!

no more apartment as of 2 weeks ago! i'm glad i took this picture awhile ago because now that tree is full and pretty. we're all moved into the parsonage now but being unpacked is a different story. we do a little bit here and there when we have time...which isn't very often lately. after moving 3 times in one year (more than i've moved in my life), i've decided that i HATE moving. but i'm so looking forward to being 100% unpacked and settled in our new place
pray for the people in china who have been affected by monday's massive earthquake...which really affected the entire country. and pray for our friend kayla who is teaching in china, as well as her students!

| basically i'm tired of seeing that gross bug every time i come to my xanga page.
this video is fascinating...i recently started doing ABA training with a 12 year old with autism and sometimes he'll just speak so clearly out of nowhere. he's in there somewhere. i'm trying to learn how to better communicate with him...challenging but i'm excited to work with him more.
today jeremy and i have been married for as long as we were engaged - about 14 1/2 months (or 1 year and 76 days...not that i kept track to that extent, i had to look that up ). i wish our engagement went by as fast as the first year of our marriage has!
have a wonderful easter tomorrow and know that you are intensely loved by the One who gave up his life for you! |

the kill count so far is 5 and my freak-out count is the same. i'm usually ok with squishing bugs but these guys are managing to sneak up on me every time and i can't handle it. last night i was brushing my teeth and turned around just in time to see one skittering down the hallway. i screamed until my wonderful (almost asleep) husband jumped out of bed to save the day. i did a little research tonight to find out that they are household centipedes. apparently you shouldn't kill them because they eat roaches. one website even suggested putting paper towels on the side of the bathtub so they can climb out and get to work. um no. i will squish every one i see. and i will look forward to the day we move out of this apartment, which is coming soon! |
